NEW signing Richard Forsyth has revealed that Nigel Worthington is the reason he moved to Bloomfield Road.
The 28-year-old left-sided midfielder played with the Blackpool manager at Stoke.
Richard said: "Nigel was a massive influence in me joining Blackpool ahead of a number of other teams in other divisions.
"I played alongside him at Stoke and enjoyed it very much - he made his ambitions clear to me and made it obvious how much he valued me.
"I hope I am able to fulfil his belief."
Commenting on his new signing, who started his career at Kidderminster Harriers before moving to Birmingham City and then Stoke, Nigel added: "Richard is an experienced and versatile midfielder who will bring a lot to the team.
"His addition to the squad will give us a lot of options and I am happy that he has agreed to join us."
Blackpool's last pre-season friendly has been set for July 31 at Bloomfield Road.
Crewe Alexandra will be the visiting team.
