MARVIN Bryan has appointed an agent to find an overseas soccer club interested in his talents.

Bryan has refused to sign a new contract despite the offer of a two-year deal from the Blackpool FC.

He had already snubbed the club earlier in the season by refusing to sign a contract - and on that occasion the terms were withdrawn by Blackpool.

A move overseas would allow Bryan to go under the Bosman rule - if he moved to another English club, a fee would be set by a tribunal because he is under the age of 24.

It is believed his agent is targeting Portuguese and Dutch second division sides.

If no-one takes him on, he could be reporting back to Bloomfield Road on a week-to-week basis next season.

Manager Nigel Worthington's move for striker Steve Anthrobus could be hijacked by York.

The ex-Wimbledon and Crewe frontman has had talks with the Yorkshire club about a possible move.

Many names have been linked with possible moves to Blackpool in the past week, including the likes of Scott Sellars, released on a free by Bolton, but his wage demands could not be met by the Seasiders.

Oldham's Paul Reid has also been released on a free transfer, as has relegated York's experienced midfielder Steve Agnew.

All North West clubs have been alerted to their availability.

The only two players Nigel Worthington has spoken to are Neil Aspin and Mark Ford, but they are as yet undecided as to their futures.

QPR look determined to start next season with Clark Carlisle at the centre of their defence.

All that stands in the way of a deal to take Carlisle to Loftus Road is the fee.

A deal of around £250,000 and a player in exchange could be on the cards, with both striker Steve Slade and keeper Lee Harper possibilities.

Carlisle, who recently trained with Chelsea for a week, is said to be a long-time target of QPR boss Gerry Francis.

On a bleak note, Blackpool have been quoted by bookmaker Dones as joint favourites for finishing bottom of Division Two next season, along with Colchester.
