AS we are approaching the Millennium celebrations, perhaps a good idea would be for Blackburn with Darwen Council to have Darwen Tower floodlit for this occasion.
Then, the tower would be seen by night around the area as well as it is seen in daylight.
Many of Darwen's town dwellers would be very proud of such a venture by the council for a change, for the year 2000.
