THE creme-de-la-creme of Bury's musical youth will demonstrate their talents in a series of forthcoming concerts.

Bury Music Centre's Festival commences on Monday June 28 with a performance by its senior brass, intermediate concert band, senior strings and Big Band.

On Tuesday 29 it's the turn of the junior strings, training brass, wind ensemble and training concert band.

Wednesday 30 sees the chamber orchestra, training strings and senior concert band in performance.

All three concert will take place at 7.30pm at the Elizabethan Suite of Bury Town Hall.

On Saturday, July 3, you can see for yourself the hard work needed to make such concerts possible when the Music Centre holds an open day.

It will take place in the centre's base at Mersey Drive, Whitefield from 9.30am to 12.30pm. For ticket details call 796 9910 or 764 8442.

Then on July 4 at the Royal Northern College of Music the youth and training orchestra will perform an orchestral concert at 7.30pm.
