A MAN in his 60s was assaulted and robbed in broad daylight as he walked past Lloyds Bank in Hardshaw Street, St Helens, at 9.20am on Tuesday.
The 64 year old, who uses a walking stick, had £200 stolen after a man punched him to the ground. The robber ran off towards the Hardshaw Centre, leaving his victim needing hospital treatment. The attacker was about 20, 5ft 8ins tall, slim and wore a white, short sleeve shirt and white trousers.
