WHAT has been described as the biggest office let in Bury for approximately four years has been completed.

Maple Grove Developments and its agents, Bury-based Paul Nolan and Company and GVA Grimley are the companies behind the office letting.

They have secured an occupant for the first floor of their scheme at the Castle Buildings on Market Place, Bury.

The premises, which have undergone a major refurbishment, are being taken by Shopacheck Financial Services in conjunction with Welcome Financial Services.

They will provide a broad range of financial services to the general public.

Paul Nolan, of Paul Nolan and Co, said: "This is probably the largest letting in Bury in the last four years and demonstrates the shortage of quality accommodation in the town."

This completes the letting of this impressive development, which was constructed behind a listed facade.

The suite was 3,500 sq ft and the asking rental was £9.50 per sq ft.

The building was originally developed as transport offices around 1875 but had been unoccupied for some years before undergoing a transformation.

Refurbishment allowed the building to be utilised as office accommodation while at the same time maintaining its original character and image.
