A MIRACLE is believed to have taken place at a local church.

Mrs Joan Morris (65) swears she witnessed the astonishing occurrence at the New Life Church, Stand Lane, Radcliffe, on Sunday, June 13, evening.

She described how a member of the congregation suddenly discovered gold fillings in her mouth!

It is a phenomenon said to have become more and more widespread at churches across the country during the past few months.

The first reported incidents in April were originally dismissed as an April Fool's joke.

But since then there have been reports of many more molar miracles. Mrs Morris, of Churchill Drive, Little Lever, was visiting the church as a member of the Christian Ladies Association.

She said: "Pastor Kurt Francis was talking about the happenings and said there was no reason why it shouldn't happen in Radcliffe.

"He asked if there was anyone in the congregation who had dental problems. A man and a lady said they had and went to the front where prayers were said."

According to Mrs Morris the woman then found that two gold fillings had appeared in her mouth.

"Who knows what God is trying to tell us? But the Bible does say that there will be signs and wonders before the Second Coming."

Pastor Francis is away on holiday and it has been impossible to find out the identity of the woman concerned.
