HAVING undergone hospitalisation and surgery for a compound fracture of the radius, I am now able to express gratitude to the many kind people who offered help after my fall in the market hall in Burnley, on Saturday, May 29.
Particular thanks go to first aider Mrs Gail Aspin and her daughter Leanne - who eased my agonising pain and to the kind assistant at Brady's Florists who rang for paramedics.
I experienced much kindness and genuine concern during this horrible incident.
You're a good lot in Burnley and I give you my heartfelt thanks.
CAROLE ATHERTON (Miss), Howard Street, Rishton.
