A TINY bat captured the hearts of animal workers who nursed it back to health. The little pipistrelle bat was taken to the wildlife warden at Witton Country Park after it was found hanging in a clump of nettles. Warden Trevor Smith was one of only two people in the area licensed to deal with bats. The bat's mouth was permanently open and it couldn't eat. He discovered the bat had a broken jaw.
