A WOMAN has been fined £150 after failing to ensure her son's regular attendance at school.
Shirley Robinson, of Rutland Street, Accrington, who was not in court, was also ordered to pay £60 costs by Hyndburn magistrates.
The court heard that 15-year-old Carl Robinson, a pupil at Oswaldtwistle's Rhyddings High, was only at school for 45 days out of a possible 216 between October and April.
The family had been evicted from their home but none of the absences was authorised.
The boy had been offered an alternative programme of education but had failed to attend meetings with welfare officers.
