PROFITS at engineering group Meggitt have continued to motor ahead.
The group, which operates two firms in Blackburn, saw pre-tax profits increase from £17.9million to £18.6million in the first six months of the year. Turnover increased from £137.8million to £155.2million.
Meggitt owns fuel monitoring firm MPS and Silicone Engineering.
"Prospects for the remainder of the year are encouraging," the firm told the city.
"Meggitt has a strong portfolio of growth products in its aerospace and sensor businesses and is well positioned to deliver organic growth in the future."
