A NEW office development has welcomed one of its first tenants.

H W Petty & Co was one of the first tenants to move into Cobham House, the new development at the entrance to Shadsworth Business Park, Blackburn.

Cobham House - named in memory of Sir Alan Cobham who staged a flying circus on the site back in the 1930s - is a project by the Regeneration Department of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council in partnership with developers Beva.

"We chose Shadsworth because of the quality of the new office accommodation and the excellent location at Junction 5 of the M65 motorway," said Alex Taylor, H W Petty Blackburn office partner.

Jon Sharples, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council's property development manager said: "Lettings are progressing extremely well on the first phase of this office development with three of the seven office suites now taken and further suites under offer."
