A 36-YEAR-old woman was taken to Whiston Hospital suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation following a fire at her home in Stretton Avenue, Parr. The fire started at about 7.45pm on Wednesday, September 1 in the lounge and caused severe heat and smoke damage to the entire house. It took firefighters half-an-hour to bring under control.
