INVITED recently to the Lancashire Hill Consortium's tourist seminar at Ewood Park, home of Blackburn Rovers, I had no option but to take my six-year-old son, Guy, with me as no-one was available to look after him that afternoon.

When I arrived, I apologised and explained why my son was with me.

As you can imagine, a four-hour meeting is not the most interesting thing for a six year old boy, but Rover's commercial manager came to the rescue by arranging a tour of Ewood Park for Guy, finishing with a penalty shoot-out on the pitch with stadium staff.

The club very kindly gave him a football and he had a chat to some Rovers' stars.

I would like to thank Blackburn Rovers for their kindness and hospitality - and wish them every success for the future.
