STUDENT Marie McAlary is glad she read the new XTEND prospectus.

Not only is the St Augustine's RC High School, Billington, pupil more clued up about the training and high level qualifications available - she is also the winner of the prospectus free prize draw.

Lucky Marie, 16, of Padiham, even got to choose her own prize and opted for £150 of Next vouchers.

She was one of thousands of young people who received copies of the new XTEND prospectus produced by ELTEC to help them achieve their career ambitions. The prospectus is packed with information about a wide range of job and qualification opportunities.

Marie, a big Boyzone fan and confessed shopaholic, is looking forward to splashing out with her vouchers in the New Year sales.

She said she was impressed with the range of jobs and high levels of qualifications available and thought the prospectus explained the different career options really well.

She plans to complete an XTEND Modern Apprenticeship when she finishes school, possibly in care work.
