ON behalf of Blackburn Cat Rescue, I wish to thank the many people who have contributed in a variety of ways to help us care for the local needy and abandoned cats over the last year.
We are very grateful to Morrison's who allowed us to collect in their Blackburn store. Recently, we raised £379.19 and more than £200-worth of food donations.
We also thank the Lancashire Evening Telegraph for putting a wonderful donation of food our way and who have helped through the Animal Aid feature to rehome many, many cats.
Thanks also to the very kind people who have donated money and goods, not just this Christmas, but throughout the year and to those who have done their part in feeding and taking in abandoned cats either permanently or short-term.
EUNICE FAULKNER, Pleckgate Road, Blackburn.
