WHY do we have dirty back streets in Blackburn these days?
The one in Accrington Road is a disgrace from top to bottom.
Someone from the council should come and see what a disgrace it is, not just to Accrington Road, but to the town itself.
I thought we paid council tax to have our roads and back streets kept clean. But this is going worse each week.
Rubbish is being put anywhere and could attract vermin. This would not have happened in the old days when inspectors came round each week when the bins were emptied, but no one seems to bother these days even though they have all kinds of modern cleaning devices.
J LIVESEY (Mr), Accrington Road, Blackburn.
