Police in Staffordshire say Darryl Briggs, 17, was hit from behind by a cement tanker and then struck again by a Fiat Punto.

The tragedy happened on Friday on the A513 near Lichfield.

Darryl attended a special school for youngsters suffering from autism at Kings Bromley in Staffordshire.

His parents live in Allerton Drive, Burnley.
