AN annual Christingle service at St Paul's Church, Low Moor, has raised more than £200 for the Children's Society.
And chief executive of the charity, Ian Sparks, travelled from Essex to be at the service.
The Mayor and Mayoress of the Ribble Valley, Coun Brian and Mrs Pat Collis, and Patricia Dempsey, area fund-raising manager for the Children's Society, were special guests.
Mr Sparks gave a talk on the charity's work.
The church has raised more than £1,500 for the Children's Society in the past year.
