POLICE have appealed for witnesses to an accident in which one of the cars involved failed to stop.
The accident happened at 4.30pm on Saturday on the A56 northbound near the Woolpack pub roundabout, in Manchester Road, Haslingden.
Police said a white car swerved from one lane to another causing a Vauxhall Astra, being driven by Caroline Davidson, 30, of Wordsworth Avenue, Padiham, to skid. The Astra was in collision with a Peugeot 309.
The Peugeot driver, 53-year-old Kathleen David, of Bolton Road North, Edenfield, her passenger Paul Wilkinson, 30, and Mrs Davidson all suffered whiplash. They were treated in hospital and discharged.
The white car left the scene without stopping. There was no description of its make or model.
