PATIENT care watchdogs went on duty at Burnley General Hospital's accident and emergency unit for a snapshot of activity at the casualty department.
The three-strong Burnley Community Health Council team, chairman Frank Clifford, Joan Ryan, chairman of the group's Acute team and chief officer Helen Gee took part in National Casualty - the nationwide survey of hospital accident units.
It was the third annual survey and the results will be published tomorrow.
Watchdogs monitored activity, waiting times, use of beds and pressure on services.
