MATT Jansen is in hot water with Blackburn Rovers after being handed a three-month ban by the FA for breaking a curfew while on duty with the England under-21 squad.
Jansen, Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie and Derby's Seth Johnson were suspended after going out for a drink between games during England's recent UEFA Under-21 Championship finals campaign in Slovakia.
And as well as his punishment from England, Rovers striker Jansen can expect to feel the wrath of Rovers' boss Graeme Souness. "I am waiting for a report and I will deal with it. He has embarrassed himself and the club.
"He's our player and will be dealt with as I see fit when I have had the chance to look at the full report," Souness said today.
Jansen, who won a late call-up to the tournament as a replacement for Leeds United's Michael Bridges, and the two other players went out on a night off for the squad.
However, that went against instructions from boss Howard Wilkinson.
