A BUSINESSMAN has been appointed chairman of Lancashire's new training body.
Alan Dick will head up the new Learning & Skills Council for Lancashire -- the organisation which will replace Training and Enterprise Councils.
Mr Dick runs Morecambe-based Alan Dick Engineering, which has a satellite site at Glenfield Park in Blackburn.
"It is an opportunity to build on my experience with Lancashire Area West Training and Enterprise Council and address the problems faced by business and individuals across the whole of Lancashire," said Mr Dick.
Bryan Sanderson, the national head of the LSC network, said the regional chairmen had been picked on their business acumen.
