JODY WARRINGTON is a real whizz kid -- and he proved it by lifting the British Schools Cycling Association National 10-mile time trial title in an impressive time of 22 minutes nine seconds.
Jody, of Herbert Street, Radcliffe, was riding for St Monica's RC School. Prestwich and he beat a full field of 120 riders from all over the country.
The event was held at Lichfield, Staffordshire and a former winner is Chris Boardman, who also lifted the title as a schoolboy and went on to win Olympic gold and wore the yellow jersey in the Tour de France.
On his way to victory, Jody broke his club's juvenile record which had stood for 12 years. Jody rides for Rochdale club ABC Centerville.
