FOUR men escaped with minor injuries after the car in which they were travelling went out of control on the Edenfield by-pass near to the Woolpack pub, mounted a verge and overturned.

No other vehicle was involved in the accident which happened at 9.50pm on Thursday.

The driver and his three passengers were all taken by ambulance to Bury General Hospital where they were allowed home after treatment for whiplash injuries.

They were driver Ishfaq Khan, 22, Lomeshaye Road, Nelson, and passengers Nasir Ali, 22, Stanmoor Place, Bradford, Iswar Sarwar, 22, of Meadow Close, Reedley and Mohammed Tahir of Lomeshaye Road, Nelson.
