ON Saturday, June 17, Fairfield Baby Lifeline Society (Sonnic) held a street collection in Bury town centre.
As one of its members I would like to thank those who gave up their time to help collect on the day. But perhaps more importantly, I want to thank those who stopped and had a chat with us and made a donation to our cause. Your efforts helped us to raise more than £1,000, an amazing total and one of our best to date.
This kind of money can make an enormous difference to the Special Care Baby Unit at Fairfield Hospital and not only enables us to purchase some very valuable pieces of equipment, but also helps to make the time spent on the unit a little bit more comfortable for babies and their relatives.
KAREN HALL,
secretary FBLS (Sonnic).
