SWINTON centre Phil Coussons has joined Northern Ford Premiership rivals Widnes.
Coussons was lured by a significant increase in wages and is thought to be the first of a number of players set to leave the Lions in the close season.
Meanwhile, scrum half Ian Watson and forward Paul Smith were the stars of the Player of the Year night.
Watson ran away with the top award, while Smith, who bagged 15 tries last season, finished runner-up.
Top try scorer for last term was Coussons with 18.
