ROVERS appear to have several surplus players on their books who seem reluctant to move to other clubs, presumably fearing a drop in wages.
I have a suggestion: why not make these players earn their inflated wages off the field?
Some examples: working in the kitchens, manning the turnstiles, working the bars, picking up litter after the match, helping in the community, etc. Is there any redecorating needed at Ewood or Brockhall? Get them doing that.
What about the elderly or disabled people in the Ewood area? I bet they would be glad of a lift around the house or in the garden, and who better to help than the neighbours?
The drop in wages may seem more attractive to them than a 40-hour working week.
