RADCLIFFE Water Polo team member Greg Plummer is always up for a challenge.
Besides his passion for polo he has also taken part in a successful cross-Channel swimming relay back in 1977.
But he has now turned his attention to dry land and on Tuesday (Sept 5) he started a sponsored bike ride from Land's End to John o' Groats.
The route covers approximately 1,000 miles and Mr Plummer is hoping to cycle 100 miles a day.
"They say life begins at 40," joked Mr Plummer who is a member of the police's underwater diving unit.
On a more serious note, he is hoping that his mammoth sponsored ride will raise more than £2,000 for Cancer Research.
