ANOTHER 4.65 acres of land in Hindley has been bought for housing.
Beazer Homes will use the neglected local authority land on Leyland Avenue to build 63 luxury homes - to be known as The Beeches.
Sales and marketing director Brian Smith, said: "One of the company's primary aims when looking for prospective plots of land is to identify as many opportunities to develop brownfield land as possible, so that we may protect the disappearing green belt areas.
"Acquiring the land at Leyland Avenue has enabled the company to do this."
Work begins shortly.
