NORWEGIAN international Stig Inge Bjornebye believes Watford's brief flirtation with the Premiership will help them to mount a promotion charge in the First Division this term.

The Hornets were relegated back to the Nationwide League in the summer after just one season in the top flight.

But, as Graham Taylor's men prepare to visit Ewood tonight, Bjornebye insists certain aspects of their game will still be Premier class.

"It's going to be hard game, that's for sure," said Bjornebye.

"They will still have the pace in their team from last season and they are used to playing against better sides every week.

"They will also be well prepared for the game so we have to make sure we are on top of ours.

"But, if we can build on what we've done so far, then we should be able to cause them one or two problems of our own."

Saturday's stylish 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest did wonders for confidence amongst Rovers' ranks.

And now Bjornebye is calling on his team-mates to produce that kind of form consistently, week-in, week-out.

"If you want to succeed in this league then you need to perform consistently all the way through," said Bjornebye.
