A man who re-offended within six weeks of getting a suspended sentence has been jailed for six months.
Timothy Raynor, 39, of Store Street, Darwen, admitted stealing vodka worth £61 from Booths, Clitheroe.
He was sentenced to 12 weeks for the offence with a further 12 weeks for breaching a suspended sentence imposed by Hyndburn magistrates in February for driving while banned.
Roger Pickles, defending, said Raynor was being prescribed methadone to control his heroin addiction but had subsequently developed a crack cocaine habit.
