MUSIC lovers at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Blackburn were treated to a programme of choral and instrumental music in the school's main hall.
Sixth former Timothy Riley's composition, Summer Storms was written as an AS level submission, and was played by the full orchestra. The programme also included works by Bach and Faure, which overwhelmed the audience with their strings and woodwind performances.
The first year choir teamed up with the Elizabethan singers to give an enchanting rendition of Adiemus which means songs of sanctuary, with the second year pupils, Daniel Adams and Simon Holding performing treble solos and Richard Barker and Mark Asping accompanying on the flute and clarinet respectively.
