DUGDALE Bowling Club is inviting seniors from across the area to take part in a coaching day with five top coaches.

The all-day session will take place at the Blackburn club on Saturday, June 9 from 10.30am-3.30pm where five British Crown Green bowling coaches will pass on some handy hits.

A video camera will be used to show bowlers how to improve their game.

Apologies go out to Blackburn Athletic on behalf of the Blackburn Combination after a mix-up regarding the league's Sportsmanship Award.

We printed it was Blackburn United who won the award when in fact it was the Division Four outfit.

Fixture secretary Jim Haworth said: "If every club was like Blackburn Athletic then it would make all of our jobs a lot more easier.

"They had an exemplary disciplinary record last season and they never complained and just got on with it."

Burnley Belvedere are on the hunt for a new first team manager.

The side play in the West Lancs League First Division.

Old Toll Bar have picked up Blackburn Sunday League's prestigious Team of the Year award.

Toll Bar topped the chart after winning the Division One title losing just one match along the way.

The club were also beaten finalists in the Blue and White Rosebowl and reached the quarter final of the LFA Sunday Trophy.

Craig Foulds, Paul Mashiter and Craig Andre were the division's top scorers while the club also conceded fewer goals than any other side in the league.

Toll Bar picked up their award at the Blackburn Sunday League's presentation night at Mill Hill WMC.
