A LANCASTER woman has organised a protest outside Nightingale Hall Farm on Sunday, June 3, to demonstrate against what she describes as "intolerable, disgusting smells."
Jennifer Omerod says she's had enough of the odour emanating from the plant and offal wagons heading to the Quernmore Road site carrying carcasses destroyed in the foot and mouth crisis.
"I've had enough, it's disgusting, especially when you're eating, and something needs to be done. I will be demonstrating outside the factory at 12.30pm and anyone is welcome to join me. If nothing happens and the smell carries on then I think we should blockade it and see if that makes a difference."
