Cowley Under 16s 16 Parr 10
COWLEY'S under16s rugby league side defeated Parr HS in the St Helens Cup Final at Parr Stocks.
Cowley took an early 10-0 lead with first half tries from John Tulley and Phil Bodey and a goal from Paul Edgerton.
Parr fought back strongly in the second half and deservedly levelled the score with two excellent tries tries.
But Cowley, who were reduced to 12 men, dug deep and secured victory with a late try and goal from man of the match Paul Edgerton.

Cowley played their hearts out at Knowsley Road to win the St Helens Town Rugby League Cup Final.
An early try from Phil Henry gave Cowley a good start, but then St Augustines dominated, grabbing a converted try to go in 6-4 up at the interval.
The second half saw a resurgent Cowley move the ball well, resulting in two tries to Danny Halsall, and one apiece to Stuart Harmon and Carl Foster to complete a memorable evening for Cowley.
