CAN any of our greybeards recall when the Pilkington glass company had a works theatre at Ravenhead?
The question comes from old-timer K. Bloomfield who believes that, before entertainment was staged there, it was a hospital for first world war wounded.
K.B. recalls seeing a panto at the theatre when he was about five or six, but can add nothing to the hospital theme.
