A CHORD was struck for a North Wales reader who spotted our recent flashback photo featuring a quartet of championship runners from the UGB club, St Helens.
For in the 1932 line-up he recognised his brother, Bill Lee, alongside his running colleagues, including George Mustard, father of Mrs Pat Chisnall who forwarded the pictorial gem.
"I'm 79 now", says John Lee, St Helens born and bred but now living in Mold, Flintshire, "and it was a nice memory for me. My niece sent me a copy of the page".
John left many years ago to volunteer for flying duties with the RAF but still regards St Helens as home. "I follow the Saints and and still visit friends and relatives there".
AND he forwards his best wishes and asks me to pass on a letter from him to Pat Chsinall. I'm only too happy to oblige.
