POLICE are trying to trace a man who is thought to have been at the centre of an armed siege in Allesley Road, Prescot, in the early hours of Monday, May 28.
Armed officers carried out a full search of the property following earlier reports of a man inside armed with a firearm.
But when they entered the house shortly after 10am the man who was thought to be heavily armed was not inside.
Police said the man may have been involved in a dispute with a taxi driver over a fare and have reassured the community there is no threat to the public.
