POLICE are investigating an incident in which a gun was fired at the front door of a house in Peasley Cross.
Officers were called to the house in Emmett Street at about 8am on Saturday, May 19 after neighbours reported hearing a gunshot.
A single shot to a front door was discovered and a scooter was seen being driven away from the scene.
It appears to have been an isolated incident but officers will be carrying out house-to-house inquiries in the area and there will also be extra patrols to reassure the local community.
Meanwhile, officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything, particularly anyone who may have seen the scooter. Anyone with information can ring 0151 777 6064.
