THE prospect of leaving their school uniforms at home for the day proved too tempting for pupils at St Monica's RC High School, Bury Old Road, Prestwich.
For the generous bunch managed to raise an impressive £2,000 from their efforts during a non-uniform event.
The cash was donated to Francis House in Manchester, for sick children.
Pictured are pupils Danny Foster (12), Martin Browne (12) and Hannah Regan (12) present the cheque to Graham Hadfield, representative of Francis House, Rainbow Family Trust.
The money was also boosted by a sponsored silence and a headteacher for the day event.
