A FARMER has died from massive head injuries after his tractor toppled over on a steep lane 20 yards his home.
David Proctor, 62, of Matt Bridge Farm, Broadfield, Oswaldtwistle, died after the accident on Benjamin Row.
An ambulance arrived on the scene but paramedics said there was nothing they could do.
Mr Proctor's wife, Louise was at the scene when they arrived last Sunday morning.
Details of the tragedy have not been released until now after a request by the family.
Mr Proctor leaves four children, Derrick, Jack, Andrew, and Jacqueline.
His family said they were struggling to come to terms with the loss and did not want to comment further.
A funeral takes place on June 6 at 2pm at the Immanuel Parish Church, New Lane, Oswaldtwistle.
