TURNPIKE Community Theatre is performing the work of local writer June Jackson this week.
Her play "Ayesha 2000" follows the story of three middle-aged women bored of hosting dinner parties for their successful executive husbands and their clients.
Learning of a new treatment that is still in the experimental stages, they board the plane to the States in the hope of returning with the looks of a 20-year-old.
Nothing is straightforward and it is their innocent husbands who face the consequences.
The light-hearted play will be performed until Saturday at the Twelve Apostles Club, Westleigh Lane, Leigh, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £3 and are available by calling 01942 603195.
