TRAFFIC police are not "harassing decent people", as Gregg Beaman (pictured) puts it, but trying to enforce a very necessary law.
Speed kills, and driving at high speeds means you use more fuel and produce more pollution, so even if you do not have an accident driving at high speeds is damaging. The speed limit on motorways is 70, and anyone who drives faster, even by only "a few mph", should not complain when they are stopped by the police. The scandal is that they are not caught more often.
