I READ with interest the two letters printed in this weeks Citizen Letters. The first from a certain Mr Bradshaw.
Has he missed the point? Yes! Morecambe has a wonderful future. Morecambe is on the up!
As for the Eric Morecambe Statue, I suggest he brings along a fold up chair sit down and observe for a whole day.
I think he will be surprised with the results. Everyone remembers Eric with fondness and respect! That is why they visit again and again.
I myself have been promoting the town for the last 3 years. We already have 2 Eric Morecambe Fan Club plaques on houses in Morecambe where our Eric was born and lived. We have also tried very hard to establish a Museum of Comedy and Entertainment for Morecambe, which would certainly bring the tourists flooding here!
Perhaps Bubbles should be turned into the Museum of Comedy and Entertainment run by ourselves? It would certainly save it being pulled down. What do the people of Morecambe think?
