NEW signings Rod Latham (prop) and Carlos Hassan (centre), both of whom played for Rotherham last season in the Premiership, together with another new face, Paul Reece (lock) from Wakefield, will play for Sedgley Park against Rugby Lions in a pre-season warm-up game tomorrow.

Rod Latham will bring vast experience to the front row having played for England A and over 30 times for his county, Yorkshire.

Carlos Hassan a Fijian International and New Zealand A team member, played every game in the Premiership for Rotherham last season. He has also played Rugby League for Bradford Bulls with last year,s signing, Jonathan Scales.

Paul Reece was an ever present in Wakefield's squad last year and has had constant involvement in rugby at National Division One level over the past four years, including spells at Leeds Tykes and Orrell.

Sedgley Park still have most of last season,s promotion winning squad available. These include Christian Radacanu, the Rumanian international; Colin Stephens, the former Welsh No. 10; Rob Moon, the former Bay of Plenty player; and Tim Fourie, the South African player-coach who has played

previously for Transvaal and as an influential backrow at No.8 for Leeds.

The management team are confident that the playing squad has been sufficiently strengthened to be well-placed for a second successive promotion challenge as the club competes for the first time at National Division Two level, which ranks them among the top 40 clubs among the near-1,000 existing in England.
