REGARDING the article about the removal of the chicanes in Rockcliffe Street, Blackburn (LET, August 14), this was mainly due to pressure from residents at the bowling green end as cars were getting damaged, ours included -- which cost more £1,000 to repair.
We are glad they have gone. In fact, the council sent a letter to let us know that they were also putting in speed 'cushions.' Where are they? we ask.
