FAMOUS Army Stores of Church, Street, St Helens is in the running for the prestigious title of Go Outdoors Retailer of the Year 2001 after being short-listed as one of 26 top stores from across Britain and Ireland.
Almost 500 stores were initially nominated by consumers in this national competition, organised by the Outdoor Industries Association (OIA).
Nominated stores were invited to complete questionnaires which were evaluated by a panel of experienced judges with backgrounds in the outdoor sector.
The winners will be announced in September.
