ALSAGER 2 COLNE 0 COLNE were made to pay for an early mistake by one of the toughest sides in the NWCL Division Two.
Alsager went ahead after just three minutes when keeper Ross Baxter allowed the ball to bounce over his head and the Alsagar striker Andy Dutton fired into an empty net. "It's a shame for Ross because he has just had two outstanding games but it is just one of those things," said Colne manager John Lister. The home side made the points safe with a break away goal from Dutton.
