PENDLE actors made their mark on the theatre scene in Scotland when they performed for two weeks at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Members of the Pendle Borderline Theatre Company spent the mornings publicising themselves and the afternoons acting. They treated their audiences to two new plays written by Colne writers Richard MacSween and Jan Playfer.
Leslie Eastham, spokesperson for the group, said: "It went really well and we had a great time. I have been to the festival and watched things, but when you've got your own production there's so much more pressure.
"Our venue was a little bit further out than we expected, but out audiences were average for the festival. It was extremely tiring.
"I don't think we would be able to do another production up there for a few years now because of the financial side, but I think it is a possibility that we will go again."
The group will perform the two plays, 'Inventing Max' and 'Lie Down Jack Coyne,' on Friday at the Earby Community Centre, in New Road, at 7.30pm.
